Maori Poi

To begin our Maori Lesson Whaea Odie told us a bit about the history of the poi, which has been around for thousand of years. She then  showed us how to do a Poi dance and how to use the Poi's correctly.  First she would demonstrate the dance and how to use the poi. Then we gave it a go to the Maori Music. It was hard to do it but it was lots of fun. I had not heard Maori songs before and I really enjoyed listening to this music.
